A Message From Noah McGough

A young man with brown hair is smiling and standing in front of a sign that reads 'Men of Nehemiah - Rebuilding the Walls' with a logo of a stylized wall and cross.

I know where my gifts come from. James 1:17. 1 Peter 4:10 says that we should use whatever gift we receive to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace.  I know that every time I get to kick a football to help my team, it is a blessing.  I love hearing friends say, "thats our kicker!"  But, my identity is not in what I do, but in whose I am.  I am inspired by the Men of Nehemiah.  Every time I get to worship with these men, I am encouraged, reminded, and more prepared to face challenges.  Every time I kick, I pray that whether I make or miss, let everything I do be for the glory of God.  I want to make every kick this season, but I also want to know that every point scored off my foot will support the amazing life changing work of the Men of Nehemiah.  For a kick to count, it takes a great snap, a precise hold, and a team of blockers.  We all need a team to succeed in this life, and I am thankful to be supporting the Team at Men of Nehemiah.

At Jesuit, we live by the motto of being Men for Others.  As I go through this journey with so many amazing brothers, I am constantly reminded of 1 Corinthians 16:13.  Be on Alert, Stand strong in the faith, be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
